Classes at Art of Kickboxing

At Art of Kickboxing, all our classes are beginner-friendly, welcoming both those with no experience in fitness or martial arts and those with prior experience.

  • Kids’ memberships include all age-appropriate kids’ classes.
  • Our teens and adults membership provide full access to Kickboxing, Women’s Kickboxing (gender restricted), Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA classes.
  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is available through a BJJ-only membership or combined with the teens and adults membership.

Kids Training Program 

Our kids’ classes include learning learning and training in boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai in a professional, engaging, and fun welcoming environment. We have a strict no-sparring policy to ensure the safety of your children. Our studio is a great place for children to make new friends, build self-esteem and assertiveness skills, while reducing anxiety, loneliness, and depression. Open to children 6-13 years old, split into two age groups: ages 6 to 9, and 10 to 13.

Kickboxing

In our kickboxing classes, you’ll learn how to combine punches, kicks, and footwork into fluid, powerful striking combinations. You’ll master technique, timing, distance control, and defence through combination drills to build practical, lifelong self-defence muscle memory. Open to teens (14+) and adults.

Women-Only Kickboxing

Our women-only kickboxing classes, led by a female coach, provide a comfortable environment for learning kickboxing. This includes learning proper stance, footwork, punches, kicks, and combinations. Unlike many women-only kickboxing classes in Metro Vancouver, our women’s kickboxing classes focus on learning the martial art of kickboxing and developing practical fighting skills, rather than being cardio or fitness-based. Open to women and teenage girls (14+).

Boxing

Our boxing classes focus on mastering the boxing stance, hand strikes, head movement, and footwork fundamentals. You’ll sharpen your reflexes, improve your conditioning, and develop a stronger ability to read and react to opponents. Open to teens (14+) and adults.

Muay Thai

Our Muay Thai classes teach the martial art of using all eight limbs—punches, kicks, elbows, and knees—in close and mid-range combat. You’ll learn how to utilize the unique Muay Thai stance and footwork, clinching, and practical self-defence techniques which use the elbows and knees. Open to teens (14+) and adults.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Our MMA classes combine kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, Judo, and basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to give you a complete foundation in mixed martial arts and a full self-defence toolkit. You’ll train transitions between ranges—stand-up, clinch, and takedowns—while learning how to apply them in real-time scenarios. Open to teens (14+) and adults.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)

Learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in an exclusive class program taught by Multi-Competition Champion, Black Belt Coach Joe. Our BJJ classes focus on ground-based grappling, teaching you how to control, escape, and submit opponents using leverage and technique rather than strength. You’ll develop skills in positional control, joint locks, and chokes through structured drills and live practice. Black Belt Coach Joe is officially recognized as qualified to promote students to the brown belt level in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. Open to teens (14+) and adults.
