Group Personal Training Prices:

Personal training sessions at Art of Kickboxing can be used for any martial arts training, self-defence scenario, or specific training that Art of Kickboxing provides. They can also be used for simply getting a casual cardiovascular fitness workout in.

Each personal training session is 1 hour (60 minutes) in duration. We also provide 90-minute personal training sessions at a different rate.

For example, a 5-session pack can be used to train in something in kickboxing for one session, and then learn something from Muay Thai in the next session.

Prices are dependent on the number of people joining the training sessions; smaller groups have similar rates as 1-on-1 personal training sessions, while larger groups may get discounted-per-person rates.

If you have a specific self-defence scenario you’d like advice on how to defend yourself against, we’re open to teaching you as well. For example, you want to learn how you could defend yourself against a violent face-to-face, up-close scenario in an elevator. Feel free to let us know what you’d like to work on.

Personal Training for Groups

Private Small/Large Group Martial Arts Lessons: What to Expect

Private Group Training: Who Benefits and Why

Private group sessions in kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) provide focused instruction, adaptable pacing, and shared motivation. We can also teach students how to handle pads for training or additional fun together outside of class.

Different groups benefit in distinct ways:
  • Friends and Families – Enjoy a shared group activity together. Whether with a parent and child, romantic couples, or friends who want to try a new activity together. Learning pad work or grappling together improves understanding, mutual trust, accountability, and bonding.
  • Kids Activities/Programs – Have children looking for a weekend extracurricular activity? Private martial arts classes at Art of Kickboxing are both safe and fun for children and might be what you’re looking for.
  • Corporate Teams/Corporate Events – Build connection, teamwork, and discipline with your coworkers. Combat training is a great corporate team building activity that builds camaraderie, focus, resilience, and confidence that carry into the workplace.
  • Community Programs/Mental Health/Disability Organizations – Structured, supportive physical learning that promotes mental well-being, social interaction, and skill-building in a safe environment for community programs, mental health groups, and disability organization members.  Encourages positive connection, confidence, and social inclusion, giving participants a sense of accomplishment and connection they may not get elsewhere.
  • Sports Teams – Develop conditioning, reaction speed, and coordination. Cross-training in striking or grappling refines agility, endurance, and mental toughness.
  • Security, Law Enforcement, or Military Personnel – Learn practical self-defence and control tactics. MMA or BJJ instruction sharpens close-quarters skills and situational awareness.
  • Beginners Seeking Privacy – Train without the pressure of a large gym setting. Private groups can be more accessible than public groups for those with social anxiety or debilitating health conditions.

Each Martial Art Provides a different emphasis:

  • Kickboxing – Fluid striking and mobility for fitness and self-defence. You’ll learn seamless punch-kick combinations, angular footwork, and defensive counters against both punches and kicks.
  • Boxing – Precision, close-quarter striking defence, timing, and cardiovascular endurance. You’ll master jabs, hooks, uppercuts, head movement, and defensive slipping to control exchanges.
  • Muay Thai – Clinch control and adaptable striking with elbows and knees. You’ll train sweeps, clinch entries, knee strikes, and elbow combinations for close-range dominance.
  • MMA – Integrates all martial arts for realistic combat application. You’ll develop striking-to-grappling transitions, takedown setups, and ground-and-pound techniques.
  • BJJ – Ground control and submissions for leverage-based defence. You’ll practice guard passing, escapes, sweeps, and joint-lock or choke submissions for positional mastery.
