Beginners Classes

Kickboxing Classes for Beginners

Art of Kickboxing focuses on introductory, beginner-friendly kickboxing classes, taught by experienced, approachable, and knowledgable coaches with real-world fighting experience in the sport.

Our kickboxing training programs are designed to introduce the fundamentals of kickboxing in a safe, professional setting. Sparring is strictly optional. The emphasis is on individual learning and progress, facilitated through small class sizes that allow for personalized coaching, and a progressive kickboxing belt system that allows students to pursue a position as a coach.

Kids Classes

Kickboxing Classes for Kids

We offer kickboxing classes for children aged 5 to 14, focusing on fundamentals with a strong emphasis on safety and professional instruction. Our friendly coaches are adept in working with young learners, providing patient and structured guidance.

This program aims to teach kickboxing while also promoting healthy early childhood benefits such as increased independence, confidence, and assertiveness, alongside reducing social anxiety and depression. Each class is designed to be safe, engaging, and age-appropriate, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Private Classes

Private One-on-One & Small Group Lessons

Learn kickboxing in private one-on-one or 2-person group training sessions, designed for individuals seeking a more personalized training experience or those who want to train with a friend, family member, or as a couple.

These sessions are ideal for those who prefer training alone, require independent guidance, or have specific accessibility needs. Our coaches offer patient, personable, and educational training sessions, ensuring that each participant’s unique goals are met.

With affordable prices as low as $80 per session (12-session pack/one-on-one personal training) or $54.99 per person (10-session pack/2 person group lesson), these personal training sessions offer an excellent opportunity for intensive learning and skill development in a private, supportive environment.

Team Head Coach

Coach Kris Kris Tang

Kris Tang, a coach with over 6 years of experience in strength and kickboxing training, has learned from top Vancouver coaches while working as a coach and a personal trainer at gyms like UFC, Vandal, Gracie Barra, and Checkmat. With over 8,000 coaching hours, including one-on-one personal training, he has helped busy youth and professionals learn self-defense skills and enhance their athleticism.

In his own competitive journey, Kris has

Competed in Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Kickboxing.
Won silver at the Canadian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (Gi) in Light Featherweight.
Fought 20 pounds above his weight class in the Be First Championship (Lightweight).
Competed in Merge Combat Fury V (Bantamweight).
Earned a silver medal at the Compnet Western Canadian Championship (Middleweight, Gi, and No Gi).
